Year 5 Fantastique French Residential
After leaving Warwick Prep School at 6.30am on Monday morning, the Year 5 girls excitedly embarked on their residential trip to France.
Before arriving at the beautiful château where they would be staying for the week, the girls visited a snail farm and each had the opportunity to try l'escargot. It was certainly an experience to remember! Throughout the week, the children have had many opportunities to try new things including sailing, archery, and kayaking, learning valuable life skills. The girls have visited war museums and memorials, including the Thiepval memorial, where they found graves of Old Warwickians. Their final day was spent visiting a traditional French market and using their French-speaking skills to buy cheese, meats, and pâtés, to name a few, ahead of a farewell feast in the evening.
The girls have had a fantastique time, making new friendships and growing in confidence and independence.
