Clubs & Activities

"The quality of the pupils' academic and other achievements is excellent. Pupils display outstanding skills, knowledge and understanding, their communication skills are notably strong and they demonstrate outstanding attitudes towards learning and achievement."

Independent Schools Inspection (ISI) Focused Compliance and Educational Quality Inspection Report, May 2022

'Activities' is the name given to the co-curricular clubs that are not part of the main timetabled curriculum.  Warwick Prep offers a wide range of co-curricular activities through which pupils can develop their social, sporting and cultural abilities and interests.

Children are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities to foster their talents, try new skills and become an active member of the Warwick Prep community.  Whether pupils' interests lie in books, performing, arts, crafts, sport, music or languages, there is an activity for them to enjoy.

Music

Music has a very high profile at the school. The children perform regularly in concerts and have enjoyed combined productions with the drama department. Participation in festivals and competitions is encouraged.

As pupils move into Key Stage 2 (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6), pupils enjoy individual tuition on a range of instruments; violin, viola, ‘cello, harp, flute, oboe, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, orchestral percussion, drum kit, saxophone, piano and guitar.

Sport

The pupils here love their sport and a wide range of sporting opportunities using our outstanding facilities is available to the children, through lunchtime and after-school clubs as well as during curriculum lessons.

Many of our girls also benefit from our links with the local tennis and hockey clubs, and we also draw on coaching expertise from other schools within the Foundation for swimming, hockey, athletics and cross country.  We compete in tournaments and matches most weeks from Year 3 to Year 6.
