Celebrating Earth Day at Forest School
This week, the Reception children celebrated Earth Day during their Forest School sessions.
They discussed recycling, recognising it as a vital contribution to our planet's wellbeing, and thought of other ways to help, such as conserving energy, walking, cycling, and scooting instead of relying on cars, and by planting trees. While exploring Forest School, the children spotted a chestnut tree seedling, perhaps planted by a squirrel, and will eagerly watch its growth over the coming months. As a reminder of our responsibility to look after the planet, the children crafted their own miniature versions of Earth, using natural materials.
