Buzzing for World Bee Day at Forest School
At Warwick Prep School today, we're supporting World Bee Day, which is the day Anton Janša, the pioneer of beekeeping, was born in 1734.
World Bee Day acknowledges the role of bees and other pollinators. To celebrate, the Reception children buzzed off to Forest School to create their own bees by wrapping yellow wool around pinecones before adding wings. The children even made a Queen bee to add to the hive!
