How do I find out about place availability at Warwick Prep?

In the first instance, we would always advise that you contact the Admissions Team to find out the latest position on available places. Do pupils go on trips outside of school?

We offer a wide range of both day visits and residential trips across the year groups.  

Day trips include The British Motor Museum, Warwick Castle, The National Space Centre and The Thinktank.

Residential trips from Year 4 onwards see our pupils visit Derbyshire, France and Yorkshire.

What are the class sizes?

Pupils at Warwick Prep benefit from small class sizes, with a usual maximum of 20 per class in The Squirrels Nursery, Reception and Pre-Prep. From Year 3 onwards, the class sizes are a usual maximum of 24 children per class.

Will my child have to pass an entrance exam to get in?

Taster Days are required for children joining Year 1 and Year 2 to enable us, and you, to see if the environment is suitable for your child, prior to a place being offered. 

Entrance assessments are required from Year 3 upwards and comprise of:  

  • Maths and English assessments  

  • Comprehension, speaking and listening tasks  

Satisfactory school references and reports are also required. 

How do pupils progress through the Foundation?

Warwick Prep is the start of an exciting journey through the Warwick Schools Foundation for both girls and boys. Our 55-acre campus is home to four Foundation schools.

Where do Warwick Prep pupils travel from?

Being a popular school with an excellent and long-standing reputation, we have pupils joining us from a variety of local schools in Warwick, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding villages. 

From further afield, pupils join us from Coventry, Rugby, Solihull, Birmingham and Banbury.  

There is a Foundation bus service available from a variety of different locations, for pupils aged 7-18. Find out more about the School Bus Service.

What arrangements are there for before and after school supervision?

There is a huge range of co-curricular activities which children may like to take part in, but we also offer wrap-around care for all children at Warwick Prep.  

Before school:  

Children can be dropped off from 7.45am each morning as there is full supervision until the day starts formally at 8.40am. There is no additional charge.  

After school:  

Children can join our After School Care provision for either a short time, or through to 5.45pm. If the children stay until 5.45pm, they will receive a light tea of sandwiches, cake and a drink. There is a small charge for After School Care.
