Year 3 Unwrapping Ancient Egyptians
On Tuesday, the Year 3 girls visited the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford to consolidate their learning about Ancient Egypt.
They had a wonderful day exploring the museum and discovering precious artefacts. The students were fascinated by the mummies, shabtis, canopic jars, mummified crocodiles, and giant hieroglyphics! They also spent time with Kirsty, who works at the Ashmolean. She let them handle real artefacts from the Middle Kingdom, including a mirror and a statue base. Everyone had a fantastic day, and the trip has truly ignited Year 3's passion for History!
