Making Waves at our Aquathon
On Thursday 19 September, we hosted our annual Warwick Prep Aquathon.
With all children in Years 3-6 given the opportunity to take part, it was quite a spectacle to behold. The afternoon began with balloons and many excited Year 4 girls swimming in the pool and running around the fields on campus. They were enthusiastically cheered on in their final efforts by an excited crowd of Year 3 girls.
Having watched the older children take part, Year 3 threw themselves into their challenge, completing one length of the pool as fast as they could before quickly slipping on their trainers and running kit to finish one lap of the field. Year 5 and Year 6 finished off the afternoon, taking on a slightly longer swim and completing two or four laps of the field, respectively.
It was inspiring for everyone involved to see over two hundred of our children challenging themselves - whether mentally, physically, or both - to achieve something that may have seemed a little daunting at the start of the day. We are incredibly proud of all their efforts and we hope they are too!
